You're Always There was composed by Colonel (Retired) Eugene W. Allen, former Leader and Commander of The U.S. Army Band, to honor his wife Claire when she was selected to be the 1985 District of Columbia Mother of the Year.
The original version was for mixed chorus and is published by Southern Music. This arrangement for concert band was written by Mark Taylor, a staff arranger with The Army Band.
