Program Notes

This substantial work pays homage to Moravian heritage and covers the full gamut of emotions and styles. Opening with the simple sound of chimes, the work begins to develop as the brass section interjects magical fanfares. Woodwind flourishes abound throughout the work, which also includes plenty of expressive and lyrical opportunities. The magical ending unites all themes and leaves the audience with the impression of a huge cathedral organ.
