Wei Yang
Biography
Wei Yang (b. 1986, Xiamen, China) is a Chinese composer, pianist and student.
Mr. Yang is a DMA student [as of 2018] at the University of Washington under the supervision of Joël François Durand. Wei Yang holds an MA in music theory and composition from Tufts University, 2015, and a BM in piano performance, film scoring and composition from Berklee College of Music, 2013.
As a composer, his works have been presented in the U.S., China, Poland, Japan, Finland, Canada, Austria, Germany, France, Mexico, Brazil and Switzerland. Wei's past principal teachers include John Bavicchi, Alia Elana Cohen and John McDonald.
