Program Notes
Valse di Ballo by Jiri Laburda for concert band is a miniature set of waltzes in the tradition of Strauss. It begins and ends in the key of F with the same waltz melody but has four intervening waltz episodes, each in a different key.
Premiered on October 9, 2005 by the Indianapolis Youth Wind Ensemble under the direction of Charles Conrad to whom the work is dedicated.
