Program Notes

This furious, fast, and enjoyable circus-style march is the first circus march that Fillmore composed in his long and illustrious career. In typical Fillmore fashion, he tricked his father into publishing the piece by making him think it was a military march! It certainly is not that, but instead, great fun!
