Program Notes
American composer and pianist of the Romantic period, Edward Alexander MacDowell (1860-1908) was best known for his compositions for piano, including his Woodland Sketches, Sea Pieces, and New England Idylls. Woodland Sketches includes his most popular short piece, To a Wild Rose. This gentle tune is beautiful in its simplicity.
Dedicated to Amy Bradley, whose love of music is instilled in all those who pass through her music classroom.
