Program Notes

Tennyson Park is a work for full concert band in standard overture form. The opening section may be taken as slow as 120, but may be as fast as 144 depending on your group. The solo for the slow section may be played on alto saxophone or trumpet.

Tennyson Park is located in Smackover, Arkansas and is the site of the local festival called Oil Town Days. It has several beautiful walking trails and is a perfect place for an afternoon picnic.
