Challenges to the ensemble: Intimate chamber playing throughout, but with limited technical difficulties. Rehearsing without soloist is difficult in slow movements.

Successful solutions: In rehearsal, I conducted from the piano, playing some of the solo part so that students could hear how their part worked with the piano.
