Program Notes

The version of Miguel Etchegoncelay is actually a new edition of the original version from 1926 (published by Evette & Schaeffer - now out of print). He made a full score (which did not exist). His orchestration asks for trumpets, cornets and bugles, alto horns, baritones and euphoniums just like the original, composed for the “Garde Republicaine” in Paris.
