Program Notes

Maleficent is a live-action re-make of the Walt Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty from 1959. In the film, the fairy tale is told from the point of view of the witch (Maleficent), played by Angelina Jolie. This arrangement describes various characters and scenes from the film. It features Maleficent Suite, Welcome to the Moors, Prince Phillip, The Christening, Battle of the Moon, Maleficent Is Captured, Aurora in Faerieland, and The Queen of Faerieland.
