Svein Henrik Giske
Biography
Svein Henrik Giske (b. 1973, Ålesund, Norway) is a Norwegian composer, conductor, arranger and trumpet player.
Svein Henrik Giske studied trumpet performance and composistion at the Grieg Academy of Music in Bergen, Norway, before getting the position as trumpet player in the Wind Band of the Royal Norwegian Navy.
Besides being a trumpet player, Svein Henrik Giske is among the most performed Norwegian composers for wind ensembles and brass bands today. In later years, Giske has gained several commissions for from Norwegian and international ensembles, and written test pieces for several band competitions.
