Program Notes

This march is part carnival, part ragtime salute, as the trombone and its ability to glissando is on full display throughout. Definitely a novelty piece, the trombones will need to have good ears for the alternate positions required in the exposed passages. The high woodwinds have some meaty parts during the trio, but otherwise, this piece is trombones or bust.
