Program Notes

Gazing into the sky, one maybe overcome witht he infinite possibilities of our world and, thus, ourselves. It is this sense of wonder and hope that is captured in Skygazer Fanfare. This work for concert band uses syncopated rhythms, layered percussion and a sense of forward motion to create an exciting soundscape for young musicians.

Commissioned by the 2014 Albemarle County Middle School Honor Band, Albemarle County, Maryland.
