Commissioned and Premiered by the Mid America Freedom Band, October 2018, this work takes inspiration from the book By the Shores of Silver Lake, written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This is the fifth book in the Little House book series, and was published in 1939. This piece describes a day at Silver Lake.
