Program Notes

Using modified student-submitted melodic examples and ideas, this work is a uniquely collaborative piece. The mysterious sounds evoke figures of darkness that exist in the shadows around us, some of which we keep to ourselves. The music develops effectively and ends optimistically, reminding us that the shadows are small compared to the light that can create or erase them.
