Program Notes

Rumor Mill is a refreshing piece full of unpredictable twists and turns as the theme undergoes changes with each statement, much like a rumor as it is passed from one person to another. Eventually the rumor has been so changed that it ventures into a jazz variation before returning to the recap.

The work was premiered by the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Dr. Chad Nicholson, conductor.
