Program Notes

This unconventional work was inspired by the 1947 Roswell incident when dozens of UFO sightings were reported over a large area of the western United States. Drama and excitement build throughout the piece as Barrett incorporates unconventional sounds, such as timbral trills, tuned water crystals, water gong and wind noises in his composition.
