Biography

Roger Parks Jones (b. 7 August 1944, Coral Gables, Fla.) is an American composer and educator.

Jones studied with Alfred Reed and Clifton Williams at the University of Miami, finishing his Ph.D. in 1972. After 3 years in Kansas, he took a position at the University of Louisiana, Monroe where he remained until his retirement in 2003. He and his wife moved to Gulf Shores, Ala., where he continues to compose and conduct.
