Robert C Wright
Biography
Robert C. (Bob) Wright (25 September 1914, Daytona Beach, Fla. – 27 July 2005, Miami, Fla.) was an American composer-lyricist.
During much of his career, he collaborated with Chet Forrest, with whom he had attended high school and the University of Miami. In Hollywood, they collaborated on music for stage shows, musicals, and night clubs. They were successful at creating scores from the music of others, including Song of Norway (Grieg), Gypsy Lady (Herbert), Kismet (Borodin), and the Great Waltz (Strauss, Jr.). Perhaps their best known song is the Donkey Serenade, which was written for the show Firefly in 1937.
