Program Notes

The title is from the popular poem by the American poet Robert Frost (1874-1963) and was first published in 1914. This version for flexible instrumentation is based on my choral setting of the poem which features close harmonies, lyrical lines, and an opportunity for developing espressivo playing in a modest grade 3/4 setting.

Performance Notes

The flexible instrumentation can use any combination of instruments as long as all parts are covered. All parts are available in C, B-flat, E-flat, and F. Feel free to make octave changes depending on the instrument(s) used.
