Program Notes

In 2014, Iizuka Senior High School brass band received a commission to compose and premiered at the 40th Chikuho Ensemble Contest in the same year.

In the introduction section, I think that the sound that is full of tension can be directly transmitted by the unison of four B-flat clarinets. Tutti's ensemble will develop into dynamic music. It's not a familiar melody, but I'd appreciate it if you could make a trial and error decision on how to express this song. The second half of the accompaniment group uses tone clusters. It is a bit abstract, such as weight and stickiness, but I think it would be nice to have an image of the sound.
