Program Notes

The importance of caring for our planet is eloquently expressed in this descriptive essay for band, which reflects the mysteries of the American Pueblo Indians and their kinship with nature. There are four movements entitled: Enchanted Mesa; Adobe Village; Ancient Voices and Mother Earth, Father Sky. The third movement features a solo for soprano recorder, which can also be played by solo flute or the flute section. This is a marvelous and timely work which makes a very positive statement.
