Program Notes
Preludio espressiva is a new work for concert band. The music depicts an imaginary scene viewed only in the composer’s mind. The composer writes: “What I kept in mind for this composition was a taste of Italian opera from the good old days ... You may create your own story if you would like, or you can treat it like absolute music. Whatever approach and interpretation you might have, do not forget that the music is espressivo throughout.
