Program Notes
Parable XIX for Band contrasts lyricism of melodic line with a vigorous rhythm in a non-programmatic musical essay. This major opus is a compendium of musical colorings demanding virtuosos technique and flexible shaping of phrases. Solo instruments challenge entire sections as dramatic commentary is made in the percussion.
