Nitrous is a high-octane energetic work for band that was commissioned by Kevin Fallon for the Boswell High School Band in Fort Worth, Texas.
Nitrous or NOX is an abbreviated way to say "nitrous oxide," the chemical compound used to make cars go at a blazing speed in the Need for Speed video game series. I enjoyed playing these games a lot as a kid and decided to make that concept into a closer for concert band. Fasten your seatbelts.
