Biography

Nicolas Flagello (15 March 1928, New York City - 16 March 1994, New Rochelle, N.Y.) was an American composer and pianist.

Among his teachers were Vittorio Gianinni and Dimitri Mitropoulos. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music and the Accademia di S Cecilia in Rome. He appeared throughout the world as a pianist and was appointed director of the Rome (Italy) Symphony Orchestra in 1962. He has written seven operas and numerous works for orchestra, voice, and instrumental ensembles.
