This is a shorter arrangement of my full concert band work, A New Day and is for adaptable (full-flex) band, written in response to the educational challenges presented by COVID-19 for the 2020-2021 school year.

A New Day ... as of yet, unseen. A resting place. A celebration. It is our responsibility to strive to enter a new day, a better day, and find rest -- both immediate and eternal.

Performance Notes

The music includes all four parts -- a melody line plus three accompaniment lines A,B and C -- for every standard instrument of the concert band. It can therefore be performed by any combination of four or more instruments. If the work is performed exclusively by low winds, I advise you to use only three instruments by omitting the B line. A snare part is included as well.
