Program Notes

This challenging circus march is a rollicking romp from start to finish! It attempts to capture the excitement of a child's first trip to the circus: the thrill, the laughter, the joy. Lots of rowdy percussion (whistle, slapstick, cowbell), in-your-face brass and whirling woodwind runs. A favorite of community bands, it has also been used by several Texas high school bands in sweepstakes contest performances.
