Program Notes

Metrodance was inspired by a visit to New York City, one of the most amazing places in the world. The energy, the speed of life, and the collision of so many ideas and cultures is energizing and invigorating. This piece is a celebration of the urban groove that one feels when walking through those busy streets.

This reduced instrumentation version makes this piece accessible to bands of all sizes and instrumentations.
