Matthew Curley

Biography

Matthew Curley (b. 11 November 1991) is a music educator, percussionist, and musician.

Mr. Curley earned his Bachelor of Science degree in music education from Western Connecticut State University. He studied under David Smith and Patrick Smith. After completing his bachelor's degree, Matthew went on to finish his Master of Music degree in percussion performance from Middle Tennessee State University. At MTSU, he studied with Lalo Davila, Julie Davila, Derrick Phillips, and other distinguished faculty.

He is currently an elementary band director in Darien Public Schools in Darien, Connecticut. Matt previously held the positions of band director at Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy in CT , the assistant band director at Coffee County Central High School and K-5 music teacher at Hillsboro Elementary in Coffee County, Tennessee.
