Program Notes
The first mention of this work occurred in a letter written by Leroy Anderson in 1947. He didn’t finish the work for orchestra until 1969. It was premiered in 1970. The inspiration for this march was given to Anderson after he read P.G. Wodehouse’s book, The Man With Two Left Feet.
