Program Notes

I have always had a fondness for both polka music and German food; the two go hand in hand. Sauerkraut, knockwurst, and a little accordion and tuba on the side are, to me, a recipe for a good time. It was during one such dining experience (at the wonderful Steinhaus Keller in Hot Springs, Arkansas, no less) that this melody first occurred to me and would simply not leave my head. Accordingly, the only cure was to pour it out onto the written page. and so I did! The result was March Wunderbar. I hope you enjoy this piece and, until we meet again... auf wiedersehen!
