Program Notes

March Dramatic was commissioned and premiered by the Perrysburg (Ohio) High School Band. Although rather traditional in form, harmonic structure, and melody, the rhythmic repetition of the first three notes, the unexpected accents, and the dynamic contrast offer just the right amount of variety.
