Program Notes
Mabodamaca's Meditation was originally for bass trombone and piano, but band conductor Bartolo Vargas requested two arrangements for the Porta Del Sol Wind Ensemble (Wind Camerata).
The piece was inspired by the legend of Mabodamaca, a Puerto Rican Native Indian who leads the rebellion against Spanish conquerers.
