Program Notes

The Lightning Spirit is based on the Aboriginal legend of Namarrkon, who sat in the clouds and hurled lightning bolts at the earth below. This exciting overture contains some very powerful moments that are well balanced with more subtle, musical moments. Very effective percussion parts, along with colorful scoring, give younger bands an opportunity to sound more mature.
