Lester Pack

Biography

Lester Pack (born in Pine, Arkansas) is an American composer and educator. Mr. Pack received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Henderson State University, his Master of Music Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and he spent a year at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Pack has taught bands in Texas in the school districts of Paris, Henderson, and Atlanta and is currently the Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. His concert bands consistently received superior ratings. He is also in high demand as a clinician and adjudicator in Texas and Arkansas and has received composition commissions from Crossett High School (AR), Dumas High School (AR), Quitman High School (TX), Cooper High School (TX), and Clear Creek ISD in Houston,TX. Many of his works are included on the Arkansas contest list. As a professional guitarist, Mr. Pack plays in numerous jazz combos, Texarkana Jazz Orchestra and was a featured soloist with the Southern Arkansas University Wind Ensemble at the Arkansas All-State convention in 1998.
