Program Notes

The Knights' Arrival was commissioned by Dr. Frederick Schmidt and the St. Norbert College Wind Ensemble. It was premiered on October 28, 1999 at the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Conference in Madison, Wisconsin. The work uniquely features the woodwinds in a fanfare setting while exhibiting exciting statements in the brass and percussion.
