Originally published in 1955, Clare Grundman's masterful setting of early American folk tunes is an ageless classic and has long been a staple of contest and festival literature for the young band. Very skillfully adapted here for flexible instrumentation, this classic work now can be played by a wide variety of small ensembles or bands with mixed or nontraditional instrumentation.
