Kelly Bennette

Biography

Kelly Bennette (b. 1962, Port Arthur, Tx.) is an American composer and educator.

Mr. Bennette received a bachelor's degree in music education from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas in 1989.

Mr. Bennette's performing experience includes six years as tubist for the Lamar Faculty Quintet as well as tubist for the Beaumont Symphony Orchestra for nine years. He spent twenty-eight years in public education. He retired from public school band directing in 2017. He composes during the week and plays bass guitar with classic rock/blues band Down Home every weekend.

His musical compositional credits include approximately eighty marches as well as numerous overtures and concert band pieces.
