Juan-Gonzalo Gómez Deval
Juan-Gonzalo Gómez Deval (b. 1955, Benisanó, Valencia Spain) is a Spanish composer and conductor.
Gómez Deval began studying music in the Banda "La Familiar" de Benisanó, Unió Musical de Llíria and Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia where he obtained the title of professor of clarinet and the final career prize. He increased his knowledge in harmony, counterpoint and fugue, composition and conducting with teachers Jose M ª Cervera Lloret, Amando Blanquer and José Ferriz.
Gómez Deval has been principal conductor for 22 years in the Unión Musical de Polinyà del Xúquer (Valencia) and for four years in the Banda La Familiar de Benisanó (Valencia). He has been principal conductor of the band of the Centro Musical Instructivo Santa Cecilia de Puçol (Valencia-Spain) from 1995 to 2010. With this band won the 1st prize in the Certamen Ciudad de Cullera (2006) and in the Certamen de Bandas de la Excma. Diputación de Valencia (2008).
He has lectured about his music in the Regional Congress of the Band Federation of Castilla La Mancha (Valdepeñas, 2006), Professional Conservatory "José Climent" (Oliva, 2007) and Professional Conservatory of Meliana (2007).
As composer is member of the SGAE (General Society of Authors and Publishers) and COSICOVA (Valencian Composers Association).
