Josef Flegl

Biography

Josef Flegl (1881-1962), Czech composer, is the brother of composer, Vaclav Flegl. Josef played violoncello with the Czech Philharmonic for awhile, studied piano, and founded a private music school in Prague. He is well known for his instructive music for children. He also composed music inspired by folklore especially from the area under the giant Krkonos Mountains.
