John Vinzant

Biography

John Vinzant (b. 3 October 1994, Garland, Tx.) is an American composer, percussionist and educator.

Mr. Vizant received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and composition from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Master of Music degree in music composition from Texas State University. His teachers have included Michael Ippolito, Richard Hall, Blake Tyson, Paul Dickinson, Neal Moss, and Gerry Nichols.

Vinzant is a percussionist and composer equally at home scoring for media, such as video games and films, and writing solo, chamber, and large ensemble works for concert performance.

John is an assistant band director at the Don Tyson School of Innovation in Springdale, Arkansas, where he also teaches piano, music theory, and music technology.
