Program Notes

Experience boundless energy from the "impossible machine" that inspired this aggressive work. For centuries, mankind has searched for a way to develop a machine that can operate by producing its own energy.

The Impossible Machine was commissioned for the Hightower Trail Middle School Band for their performance at the 2006 University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival; Andrew Cole and Fred Norton, directors.
