Program Notes
It was after a tip from the teacher Jan Sandström that work on the piece I Long for the Furthest Star was started. When I was in the process of writing my degree project I had no serious pieces that I worked on. When I received an email from my teacher with information about the competition, it felt like a perfect opportunity to start something.
What inspired me was a piece by French composer Olivier Messiaen called Eclairs sur l'au sharing.
