Program Notes

Please enjoy my most recent commission, Homage to the Dream, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the immortal "I Have a Dream" speech delivered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963, by Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968). The work was commissioned by Phi Beta Mu, in honor of the 75th anniversary of its founding and was premiered on July 21, 2013, in San Antonio during the 66th Annual Convention of the Texas Bandmasters Association by the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Wind Symphony under the direction of the composer.
