Program Notes

Hill of Dreams is loosely based on the Hartwick College Alma Mater. The piece is structured as a fantasy on that theme. It is intended to capture the natural beauty of the Hartwick College campus and spirit embodied by the students and faculty that make it such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

This fanfare was composed expressly for the Hartwick College Wind Ensemble's appearance at Carnegie Hall, N.Y. in the spring of 2018.
