Hans van der Heide

Biography

Hans van der Heide (b. 1958, Den Helder, the Netherlands) is a Dutch composer and arranger.

He studied trumpet at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. After his studies he was appointed to the position of principal trumpet with the Royal Military Band of the Hague. At the same time he studied wind orchestra conducting in the Netherlands and Belgium. Additionally he made a name for himself as a composer and arranger.
