Program Notes
This original composition by master composer Alfred Reed is written at a much easier grade level than most of his pieces. Contains all of Dr. Reed’s musical magic while being alittle more accessible by younger concert bands.
The Golden Year was commissioned by and is dedicated to the Yokohama Kounan Junior High School Band for its Golden Anniversary, 1997.
