Program Notes

While not specifically programmatic, this piece has many programmatic elements. The idea of peering down into a vast glacier canyon starts the action, which picks up steam as you imagine whitewater rafting through the turbulent waters below. The serene vistas can then be heard and felt in the folkloric middle section before one last breathtaking romp through the boiling rapids.
