Biography

Frank Bernaerts (b. 1967, Willebroek, Belgium) is a Belgian composer and arranger.

His first inspiration came from his grandfather who was himself a great music lover and a local conductor. Even at an early age, Frank was attracted to the wind band, fanfare, and brass band scene. He studied at the Music Academy of Willebroek, Stedelijk Muziekconservatorium Mechelen and at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven. He studied cornet, piano, harmony, counterpoint, and musical history. In 1989 he started to publish and distribute his own arrangements and in 1992 he founded Bernaerts Music Bvba. As managing director of this music publishing company in Willebroek, he has been able to make Bernaerts Music Bvba a standard for pop arrangements. As composer and arranger it is his aim to develop pop music for brass and wind bands all over the world.
